JEREMIAH WIGGINS

Jeremiah Wiggins, 76, of the 3600 block of Manning Road, died Sept. 2, 1995, in Manning Convalescent Home, Portsmouth.

Mr. Wiggins, a native of Aulander, N.C., was the son of the late Charlie and Cecila Bazemore Wiggins. A retired truckdriver, he was the widower of Ella Mae Wiggins. He was a member of St. Stephen Pentecostal Holiness Church, Suffolk.

Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Mildred Cooper, Mrs. Maybell Howell, Mrs. Christine Dildy and Mrs. Regina Peterson, all of Suffolk; five sons, Clifton Wiggins, Jeston Wiggins, Lloyd Wiggins, James Wiggins and Manuel Wiggins, all of Suffolk; two sisters, Mrs. Ethel Mae Whitfield of Suffolk, Mrs. Evoria Higgins of Paterson, N.J.; one brother, Chester Wiggins of Philadelphia, Pa.; an uncle, Roger Bazemore of Portsmouth; four daughters-in-law; four sons-in-law; 44 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in St. Stephen Pentecostal Holiness Church by Elder William Taylor. Burial will be in Rountree Cemetery, Gates, N.C. The family will assemble at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James Peterson, 3601 Manning Road, Suffolk, for the procession to the church on Wednesday. The family will receive friends at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Cooper, 5596 Godwin Blvd., Suffolk. Crocker Funeral Home is in charge.
