The Bluefish Management Board of the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission approved a three-fish recreational bag limit and a commercial bluefish quota of 7,938,500 pounds for 1996.
Some of the actions of the management board, however, have been misinterpreted. Therefore, the group plans to meet Oct. 4 to reconsider 1996 recreational and commercial management rules.
The commission's bluefish advisory panel will meet Oct. 3 to discuss both the 1996 management measures and a forthcoming amendment to the bluefish fishery management plan.
