Caption information was incomplete with a story Saturday about a

Virginia doctor held in Tennessee on attempted murder charges.

A small photo with the story showed Dr. Ray W. Mettetal, who was

arrested last month at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in

Nashville. Mettetal is accused of trying to kill Dr. George Allen,

chairman of the medical center's neurosurgery department.

The larger photo showed Allen, examining a syringe found in

Mettetal's possession, and Judge Bill Faimon, who ordered Mettetal

held without bond.

The crew members of a British warplane, killed during a Canadian

air show Saturday, were based in Kinloss, Scotland. An Associated

Press story Sunday had that city's name wrong.

CLARIFICATION

Dr. Robert M. May Jr., who practices at Smithfield Animal

Hospital, is not the same Dr. Robert M. May who received

disciplinary action while practicing at Actin Animal Hospital in

Chesapeake. The Chesapeake facility was the subject of a MetroNews

story on Aug. 24.
