Ruth Short Marks, 80, of the 400 block of Harrell St., died Sept. 5, 1995, in East Pavilion Nursing Home, Franklin, Va.
Mrs. Marks, a retired professional secretary, worked for the Department of Graphic Arts at Chowan College. She was born in Surry County, N.C., and was a member of Murfreesboro Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Benjamin Marks; one son, Ed Marks of Buxton, N.C.; one sister, Mary Nell McMahan of Greensboro, N.C.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. today in Riverside Cemetery, Murfreesboro, by Dr. Davis Smith. Garrett Funeral Home, Murfreesboro, in charge. Memorial donations may be made to a favorite charity.
