CHARLES BUSH

Charles ``Bill'' Bush, 83, formerly of Portsmouth, died Sept. 5, 1995, in a hospital.

Mr. Bush, the widower of Francis Owney Bush, was retired after 26 years of service in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the American Legion for over 50 years and was a charter member of the Okeechobee Elks Club. He belonged to the Shriners and Masons.

Survivors include one daughter, Pat Bush; one granddaughter, Kelly Herron; two sisters, Margaret Schere and Jessie Boyer; one nephew, William ``Tommy'' Bittle; one niece, Connie W. Bittle.

Buxton Funeral Home, Okeechobee, is handling arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Martha W. Davis Cancer Center, Portsmouth, or the American Cancer Society.
