Grover C. Askew, of the 6200 block of Sunshine Ave., died Sept. 3, 1995, in a local nursing home.
Mr. Askew was retired from the Naval Supply Center after 33 years of service. He was the widower of Mahalie E. Askew, and a member of First Baptist Lamberts Point. He was born in Windsor, N.C.
Survivors include two step-daughters, Ruth Shambly of Norfolk and Magdaline Davis; 12 grandchildren; three nieces and two nephews.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in First Baptist Lamberts Point, Norfolk, by the Rev. Anthony Paige. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. The family will assemble at Graves Funeral Home the day of the service.
