One of the businesses displaced by the new I.C. Norcom High School construction has moved to fancier quarters across the street at 1629 High St.
The building, formerly occupied by a tire company and later an automobile dealership, has been completely remodeled for the restaurant.
The business is owned and operated by Shelley Wynn, her brother Bobby Wynn, and their mother, Connie Wynn.
It opened in January 1990 and has specialized in seafood, especially live and steamed crabs.
The menu includes a variety of seafood - fish, crabs, oysters and shrimp - as well as country-style vegetables and hush puppies.
``We plan to add fried chicken and some other items to the menu in the future,'' Shelley Wynn said Tuesday.
Takeout service has been the mainstay of the business in the past. However, in the new location, more tables have been added. Shelley Wynn said the restaurant now seats about 30 people.
The restaurant is open 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Friday and Saturday. by CNB
