John Kenneth ``Jake'' Slayton Jr., 2, died Sept. 7, 1995, in Virginia Beach.
He was born in Virginia Beach. Survivors include his parents, Paige Lawson Slayton and John K. Slayton Sr., both of Virginia Beach; two sisters, Amy Slayton and Brooke Lawson, both of Virginia Beach; two brothers, Cole Slayton and Gerald Slayton, both of Virginia Beach; maternal grandparents, Iris Lawson and H.M. Lawson Jr., both of Hampton; and maternal great-grandmothers, Pollyanna Lawson of Hampton, and Meta Hughes of Austin, Texas; and a paternal grandmother, Beverly Jane Slayton of Virginia Beach; several aunts, great-aunts, uncles and cousins.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Rosewood Memorial Park by Chaplain Bruce Smith. Visitation at Kellum Funeral Home, Bonney Road Chapel, will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday.
