Pearl M. Carr, 76, of the 700 block of Dunedin Road, died Sept. 7, 1995, in her residence.
Mrs. Carr, the widow of Robert Carr, was a retired teachers aide. She was born in Portsmouth, and was a member of New Berean Baptist Church, Portsmouth. She was a member of the Missionary Society, chairperson of the Senior Saints Committee, and member of Ladies Home League of The Salvation Army.
Survivors include one daughter, Vernette C. Boyd of Chattanooga, Tenn.; four sons, Carsell Ruffin, Ronald Carr, Joseph Carr, all of Portsmouth, and Robert Carr Jr. of Chattanooga; an uncle, James Cisco of Portsmouth; and Rachel Burke of Portsmouth.
The funeral will be conducted at noon Monday in New Berean Baptist Church by the Rev. Leroy Ricks. Burial will be in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, Portsmouth. Viewing will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today in Serenity Funeral Home, Portsmouth, and from 10 a.m. to noon Monday at the church. Family and friends will assemble at 734 Dunedin Road, Portsmouth, at 11:15 a.m. for the procession to the church.
