CHARLES J. KELTON

Charles Joseph Kelton USN (Ret.), 71, of the 1800 block of Ashley Drive, died Sept. 8, 1995, in a Virginia Beach hospital.

Mr. Kelton, a retired principal from Holland Elementary School, Virginia Beach, was retired from the U.S. Navy after 20 years of service. He was born in Jersey City, N.J., and was a member of Chapel of the Good Shepherd, NAS Oceana. He was a graduate of Old Dominion University, and received his Masters Degree from the College of William and Mary. He was a U.S. Navy veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Marie Ellen Kelton; two sons, Robert C. Kelton of Chesapeake and Richard A. Kelton of Newport News; one brother, Raymond Kelton of Las Vegas, Nev.; three grandchildren, Catherine Kelton of Chesapeake, Tara Kelton and Allen Ross Kelton, both of Crewe, Va.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Neck Chapel, by Chaplain James Melley. Burial will be in Princess Anne Memorial Park. The family will be at the funeral home from 4 to 6 p.m. today. Memorial donations may be made to the Virginia Beach Volunteer Rescue Squad.
