MARGARET B. BROWN

Margaret Alice Bradley Brown, 85, died Sept. 9, 1995, in University Park Nursing Home, Richmond.

Mrs. Brown was a lifelong resident of Norfolk, and a graduate of Maury High School and Mrs. Turnbull's Finishing School. She retired from Birtcherd's Dairy in 1960. She was a charter member of Royster Memorial Presbyterian Church and was the widow of Sylvester D. Brown.

She is survived by a daughter, Suzanne B. Gholson of Richmond; a son, Sylvester D. ``Sy'' Brown III of Virginia Beach; four grandchildren, Neil E. Gholson of Tampa, Fla., Susan Gholson Lynch of Richmond, Scott M. Gholson of Richmond, and Tamra Brown Patrick of Virginia Beach; and six great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Forest Lawn Cemetery, with the Rev. John Monroe officiating. There will be no viewing at the funeral home. The family will receive friends at the son's home after the service on Monday. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, is handling arrangements. Memorials may be made to the charity of choice.
