Larry Maddry feels that ``the NCAA should butt out of college football'' when it comes to public prayers of thanks for touchdowns (Daily Break, Sept. 6).
Mr. Maddry should also have pointed out that Liberty University did not ask enough of the NCAA. A touchdown prayer presumes that someone on the team had quietly asked the Almighty for help before the snap.
If fans were aware of all prayers on the field, they could see how interested the Lord is in football.
