BENJAMIN E. PITT

Benjamin Eugene ``Butch'' Pitt, 42, of the 800 block of Brooks Lane, died Sept. 2, 1995, in his residence.

Mr. Pitt was born in Portsmouth and was a laborer with Omell Construction.

Survivors include his mother, Helen Pitt of Portsmouth; four sisters, Pearl Darden, Dorothy Harrell, Helen Rockett and Virginia Pitt, all of Portsmouth; seven brothers, Clarence Pitt Jr., Landis Pitt, Richard Pitt, Thomas Pitt and Edward Pitt, all of Portsmouth, Lawrence Pitt and James Pitt, both of Baltimore; and a host of relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Serenity Funeral Home Chapel, Portsmouth, by the Rev. Randolph Williams. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Family and friends will assemble at 2212 Des Moines Ave., Portsmouth, at 10:15 a.m. for the processional to the chapel.
