Wanda Dorene Engram Starks, 33, of 20801 Brickhouse Drive, a Volunteer Coordinator with the U.S. Army, Fort Lee, Va., for ten years, died Sept. 9, 1995, in Kenner Army Hospital, Fort Lee.
She was born in Southampton County, Va. She was a member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, Petersburg, Va., and was a member of the Mass Choir and the Women's Ministry.
She is survived by a very loving and devoted husband, SFC. Morris L. Starks of Ettrick, Va.; a loving daughter, Shaquanna D. Starks of Ettrick, Va.; mother, Mrs. Dora B. Engram of Courtland, Va.; one brother, William M. Engram Jr. of Courtland, Va.; mother-in-law, Mrs. Lizzie Starks of St. Stephens, S.C.; four sisters-in-law, Cynthia L. Engram of Courtland, Va., Edna Bennett of St. Albany, N.Y., Henrietta Starks of St. Stephens, S.C., Doretha Starks of Whitaker, N.C.; three brothers-in-law, Robert Starks of Charleston, S.C., Willie Starks of Orlando, Fla., and Sam Starks of St. Stephens, S.C.; her godparents, Mr. and Mrs. Allen T. Hopkins of Franklin, Va.; three godbrothers, Maurice Hopkins of Fort Washington, Md., the Rev. Curtis Hopkins of Virginia Beach, and Allen T. Hopkins Jr. of Silver Springs, Md.; and a host of neices, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, William M. Engram Sr.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, Sept. 14, 1995, at 4 p.m. in First Baptist Church, Courtland, Va., the Rev. Wesley K. McLaughlin presiding. Burial will be in Care Memorial Gardens, Courtland, Va. A Christian Wake service will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 13, 1995, from 7 to 8 p.m. at Mt.
