Mattie Eva Campbell, 64, of the 2000 block of Mars Street, died Sept. 9, 1995, in her home.
Mrs. Campbell was a native of Rugby, Virginia. She was a member of London Bridge Baptist Church in Virginia Beach and was very active in the Sunday School program.
Mrs. Campbell was also a volunteer with Holmes Convalescent Home for more than 25 years.
Survivors include her husband, Ernest Campbell; a daughter, Debbie Devine of Virginia Beach; her son, Greg Campbell; his wife, Susie of Virginia Beach; three sisters, Guida Perkins of Baltimore, Md.; Janell Cooper of Volney, Va.; Vella Warren of Mouth of Wilson, Va.; a brother, Marvin Reedy of Volney, Va.; four grandchildren, Shaun Devine, Brittany Campbell, Dawn Goss and Christopher Goss, all of Virginia Beach; and a countless number of beloved friends.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 13, 1995, at London Bridge Baptist Church by the Rev. Tommy Taylor. Burial will be at Princess Anne Memorial Park. There will be a visitation this evening from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to the London Bridge Baptist Church, 2460 Potters Road, Virginia Beach, Va. 23454. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel, is handling arrangements.
