Samuel L. Blackwell, 77, of the 7700 block of Armfield Ave., a retired electrician, died on Sunday, Sept. 10, 1995, in a Norfolk health care center.
He was born in Saltville, Va., and was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie Mayo Blackwell. He was a member of Ocean View Baptist Church and the Tidewater Seniors Invitational Golf Association.
Survivors include two sons, Michael D. Blackwell of Portsmouth and Kent Blackwell of Virginia Beach.
A graveside funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 14, 1995, in Forest Lawn Cemetery by Dr. David N. Clay. Cox Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
