Marjorie Speight Flora, 78, of Virginia Beach, died Sunday, Sept. 10, 1995, in a Virginia Beach health care center.
She was born in Norfolk and was the daughter of the late Lidie Shumaker and James E. Speight. She was the widow of Robert Edward Flora and was a member of Virginia Beach United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Gayle F. Vander Veer and Carol L. Vogt, both of Virginia Beach; a sister, Evelyn S. Frankart of Hertford, N.C.; three grandchildren, Paul E. Godoy, Elizabeth S. Godoy, both of Virginia Beach, and Marjorie G. McDaniels of White Stone, Va.; and a great-grandchild, Jonathon R. McDaniels of White Stone, Va.
A chapel funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 14, 1995, in Cox Funeral Home. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will be at Cox Funeral Home Wednesday night from 7 until 8 p.m. for visitation. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
