Dorothy Frances Cowan, 67, of the 4100 block of Thistle Circle, died Sept. 11, 1995, in her residence.
Mrs. Cowan was born in Halifax County, Va., and was the widow of Kenneth Otto Cowan.
Survivors include daughter, Linda Cowan of Virginia Beach; four sons, Kenneth Cowan, Richard Cowan, and Gary Cowan of Virginia Beach and Michael Cowan of Pasadena, Md.; two sisters, Peggy Hogan of Danville, Va., and Barbara Hodges of Farmville, Va.; two brothers, Dickie Chaney of Fayetteville, N.C., and Tommy Chaney of Kinston, N.C.; 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted Thursday, Sept. 14, 1995, at 1 p.m. by the Rev. Michael Cox in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
