ALFRED H. MCKENZIE

Alfred H. McKenzie, 85, of the 1300 block of Land of Promise Road, died Monday, Sept. 11, 1995, in a Norfolk hospital.

Mr. McKenzie was born in Lake City, S.C., and was the son of the late Neal W. and Lillie Driggers McKenzie. He retired from Norfolk Shipbuilding and Drydock Corp. in 1972 as a shipfitter. He was a member of Freedom Baptist Church, Centerville Turnpike, Chesapeake.

Survivors include his wife, Lillie Mae Rogers McKenzie; two sisters, Henrietta M. Turner of Batesburg, S.C., and Velma M. Hutto of Cayce, S.C.; one brother, C. Westley McKenzie of Tucson, Ariz.; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 13, 1995, in the chapel of Oman Funeral Home, Great Bridge, by the Rev. Ronald Harrison. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home this evening from 7 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 360 Southport Circle, Suite 104, Virginia Beach, Va. 23452, or to the American Cancer Society, 230 Ellsmere Ave., Norfolk, Va. 23513.
