Margaret Rebecca Mills, of 929 Lasser Drive, died Sept. 9, 1995, in DePaul Hospital.
She was born in Princess Anne Co. and was a member of New Saint John A.M.E. Church, Virginia Beach where she was a stewardess, member of the Board, Mass Choir, Senior Choir, Missionary Society, Sunday School Teacher and Class Leader.
She is survived by her husband Ernest W. Mills Sr.; three daughters, Evelyn L. Daughtry, Janice M. Ruffin, and Patrice M. Ricks, all of Virginia Beach; one son, Ernest W. Mills Jr. of Norfolk; one sister, Garphine E. Smith of Virginia Beach; 13 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren; one niece, Otelia Clark of Virginia Beach; one aunt, Mary Lyles of Trenton, N.J.; and three sons-in-laws, Rev. L.R. Daughtry, Rev. Vernon Leon Ricks Sr., both of Virginia Beach; and Mr. W.G. Ruffin Jr. of Norfolk.
A funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday by the Rev. E.H. Terrell Jr. in New Saint John A.M.E. Church, Virginia Beach. Burial is in Woodlawn Memorial Garden, Norfolk. The body will be placed in church at noon Wednesday. Community Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, is handling arrangements.
