A pizza delivery driver was in critical condition Monday after he was beaten and robbed while making a late delivery in Western Branch, police said.
David Demarco, 33, had made a delivery about 10 p.m. Sunday in the 3200 block of American Legion Road when he was attacked, police said.
Demarco, a driver for Pizza Hut, suffered a skull fracture and other injuries. He was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
Police could not say how much money was taken.
Investigators were searching for Demarco's dark blue 1994 truck on Monday. The truck has a dent in a front quarter panel and has no front bumper. The license number is SIT-112.
Anyone with information should call Chesapeake police at 487-1234.
