CLARIFICATION
The Beacon invited readers Sept. 3 to respond to the school
budget deficit by calling Infoline and leaving a recorded message,
some of which were published last Friday. One of those comments was
attributed to Richard Bazar of the Newtown area. Bazar, whose wife
is employed by the school system, says the information was
incorrectly attributed to him. Also, that same caller referred to
the recent purchase of awnings at Luxford Elementary as being
frivolous. Luxford Principal Lee Capwell called to say that School
Board funds were not used for that expense.
