Ruth Hodge Dawley, 92, formerly a resident of the Meadowbrook Section of Norfolk, died Sunday, Sept. 10, 1995, in Dallas, Texas.
She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and was the daughter of the late Ann Elizabeth Johnston and Austin Beach Hodge. She was the widow of William Buxton Dawley, and was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd.
Survivors include two daughters, Marion D. Norris of Dallas, and Winifred D. Walls of Orlando, Fla.; a half-sister, Mildred H. Hendrickson of Virginia Beach; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A chapel funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in the Cox Funeral Home, by the Rev. Fr. Ross Wright. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday for visitation. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
