Katherine Phillips Miller, 74, of the first block of Cypress Road, died Sept. 12, 1995, in Portsmouth.
Mrs. Miller, the widow of James E. Miller Jr., was a native of Alverson, W.Va. She was a retired licensed practical nurse and a member of Cradock United Methodist Church, Portsmouth.
Survivors include two sons, Danny B. Miller Sr. of Portsmouth, James E. Miller III of Missoula, Mont.; one sister, Pansey Cary of Covington, Va.; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
The burial will be at a later date in Emmanuel Church of the Brethren Cemetery, Mount Solon, Va. Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Boulevard Chapel, in charge.
