A Norfolk man has been arrested in the slaying of 76-year-old Willie Dodson, police spokesman Larry Hill reported Tuesday.
Jimell Williams, 25, of the 700 block of W. 36th St. was arrested without incident at 11 p.m. Monday in the 3700 block of Colley Ave., Hill said.
Williams was charged with murder and was scheduled to appear in Norfolk General District court this morning.
Dodson was sitting on his porch in the 3200 block of Flanders St. on Aug. 14 when he was approached by two men who brutally beat and robbed him, police said. He died Saturday.
The investigation is continuing; more charges may be placed against Williams, Hill said.
