JOHNNIE H. MILES

Johnnie Henry Miles, of the 1000 block of Portland St., died Sept. 12, 1995, in Autumn Care Nursing Center, Border Road, Chesapeake.

He was born in South Norfolk, and was a member of Refuge Church of God in Christ, Chesapeake. He was an Army veteran of World War II and was a retired shipfitter for Portsmouth Navy Shipyard.

He is survived by his wife, Evangelist Cynthia M. Miles of Chesapeake; four stepdaughters, Earline Brown, Sandra Billups, and Cynthia Hazer of Chesapeake, and Tujuana Williams of Chesapeake; one stepson, Howard W. Hazer Jr. of Chesapeake; four grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday by Elder Joseph T. Williams in Refuge Church of God in Christ. Burial is in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Norfolk. Fitchett Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
