Myrtle Estelle Eavey Shelby, 87, died Sept. 13, 1995.
She was a native of Brunswick County, Va., and was the widow of James L. Shelby. She was a retired licensed practical nurse. Mrs. Shelby was a Baptist.
She is survived by two daughters, Mary E. Lilley of Portsmouth, Alice E. Moscoffian of Chesapeake; three sons, Gerald E. Eavey of Portsmouth, George H. Eavey of Eau Claire, Wis., and Larry S. Eavey of Richmond, Va.; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in Olive Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and at other times at 5025 Greenbrook Drive, Portsmouth.
