William C. Smith, 61, of the 400 block of Canterbury Road, died Sept. 13, 1995, in a local hospital.
He retired in 1993 as a supervisor in the Commissary at Norfolk Naval Base. He was born in Parrisburg, W. Va., and he was a Christian.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret J. Smith; one daughter, Elizabeth Ann Sharpe of Virginia Beach; two sons, William Earl Alexander of Chesapeake and Charles Lloyd Alexander of Virginia Beach; and seven grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel, by Pastor Douglass Ross. Burial will be in Princess Anne Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. today.
