CHRIST PAVLIDES

Christ Pavlides, 94, died Sept. 13, 1995, in his residence.

Mr. Pavlides was retired from the restaurant business. He was born in Karmi, Cyprus, and was a member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral. He was a member of Norfolk Masonic Lodge (NU)1, AF&AM, The AHEPA, Philoptochos Society, and the Golden Years Club.

Survivors include his wife for over 60 years, Mary Pavlides; two daughters, Irene P. Wood and her husband, Robert C. Wood of Paradise Valley, Ariz.; and Florence P. Blankenship of Virginia Beach; two grandchildren, Marian O. Mace of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Christine A. Wood of Dallas, Texas; two great-grandchildren, Olivia and Christina Mace of Scottsdale, Ariz.; one niece, Helen N. Kanakis of Miami, Fla.; special companion, Jo Ann Clough; and also many special friends and neighbors.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral, by Fr. Savas Constantinou, Fr. Demetrios N. Kehagias, Fr. Charles Goumenis, and Fr. George I. Paulson. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. today in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel. Memorial donations may be made to the Golden Years Club, c/o Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 7220 Granby St., Norfolk, Va. 23505. Masonic rites will be accorded at the grave.
