WILLIAM T. PRITCHETT JR.

William Thomas Pritchett Jr., 64, of the 1400 block of Bridge Point Trail, died Sept. 15, 1995, in a Portsmouth hospital.

He was a native of Tralee, W. Va. He was retired from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Shop 38, after 30 years of service, where he was a machinist supervisor. He was a member of Western Branch Baptist Church, Portsmouth. He was also a member of the Moose Lodge (NU)898 and Federal Managers Assn. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War. He served on S.S. Saipan CVL 48.

He is survived by his mother, Pearl Rose Clifton Pritchett of Chesapeake; his wife, Frances Delores Pritchett; two daughters, Pamela Lynn Fay and her husband, David W. Fay of Suffolk, and Patricia Lee Pearce and her husband, Stephen E. Pearce of Windsor, Va.; one sister, Margie Ellen Bland of Suffolk; and two grandchildren, Stephen K. Pearce, and Chelsea Rae Mathis.

A funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. Monday in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Bennetts Creek Chapel, by the Rev. Terry L. Riddle. Entombment is in Meadowbrook Memorial Mausoleum. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Chuckatuck Fire Dept. or the Bennetts Creek Rescue Squad.
