GEORGE W. RIDDICK SR.

George W. Riddick Sr. of the 2800 block of Galberry Road died Sept. 14, 1995. He was a native of Norfolk County and was a member of Divine Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Mable H. Riddick; five daughters, Ora Brickhouse, Ruth Adams, Syzella Riddick, all of Chesapeake, and Cynthia Smith and Darlene Bell, of Virginia Beach; three sons, George Riddick Jr. of Chesapeake, Kenney Riddick of Virginia Beach, and Larry Ganis of Hyattsville, Md.; one sister, Ruth Benthall of Portsmouth; two brothers, Jessie Riddick and William Riddick, both of Norfolk; 23 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. Monday by the Rev. J.R. Briggs in Divine Baptist Church, Chesapeake. Burial is in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery, Portsmouth. There will be a viewing Sunday from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m. Community Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, in charge.
