Anne Gay Coats, 84, of the 7000 block of Auburn Ave., died Sept. 14, 1995, in Chesapeake.
She was a retired beautician, and a member of Coleman Place Presbyterian Church. She was born in Norfolk.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Robert P. Coats Sr. and Connie Joyce of Chesapeake; three grandchildren, Marla C. Garcia of Chesapeake, Robert P. Coats Jr. of Charlotte, N.C., Raymond D. Coats of Chesapeake; three great-grandchildren, Michael Everett Garcia, Daniel Jeffrey Garcia, and Benjamin Gabriel Garcia, all of Chesapeake; two nieces, Shirley Roebuck of Norfolk and Delores Bowen of Portsmouth; three nephews, Robert J. Amory III of Williamsburg and Joseph F. Amory and Walter L. Amory, both of Chesapeake.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Coleman Place Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Larry C. Miles. Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel, from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, and other times at 1529 Cheltingham Court, Chesapeake. She is now at a peace with her Lord.
