Nettie Joe Moffett of the 4000 block of Colorado Ave., died Wednesday, Sept. 13, 1995, in Walter Reed Hospital, Washington, D.C.
She was a native of Southampton County, Va., and was a retired teacher of Alexandria School System. She was a member of Beulah Land A.M.E. Zion Church, Ivor, Va. She was also a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Petersburg Chapter, Franklin-Southampton Les Amies Women's Club, and she was retired from Teachers Assoc. of Virginia.
She is survived by two daughters, Gayle M. Lyke of Washington, D.C., Rebekka U. Moffett of Richmond; one brother, Edward Joe of Courtland, Va.; and four grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday in Beulah Land A.M.E. Zion Church by the Rev. W.L. Dixon. Burial will be in Beulah Land Church Cemetery. The remains will be placed in church for viewing at 11 a.m. and the family will assemble in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Joe, 22215 Farmers Bridge Road, Courtland, Va., at 11:30 a.m. Wm. M. Johnson and Sons Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
