PERMELIA A. MANN

Permelia ``Pam'' A. Mann, 69, of the first block of Mountain Ash Place, died Sept. 14, 1995, in Sentara Hampton General.

Mrs. Mann was a native of Richmond, Va., and was retired from the Southeastern Tidewater Opportunity Project (STOP). She was the widow of William E. Mann Sr. and was a member of Grace Episcopal Church, Norfolk, where she was involved in St. Cecelia's Guild and Women of the Church. She was also a member of Alpha Wives; Board of Directors of Norfolk YWCA; Chairman of Virginia Milk Commission under Gov. Charles Robb; Norfolk Democratic Women; former Southeastern Director of Girl Scouts of the USA; and Chesterfield Heights Civic Association.

She is survived by one daughter, Sylvia Y. Sessoms of Hampton; one son, William E. Mann Jr. of Norfolk; two sisters, Alice A. Terry of Richmond, and Caroline A. Graves of Marion, Md.; one granddaughter, Gabrielle S. Mann; and nephews, John A. Terry of Norfolk, and Michael C. Jenkins of Salisbury, Md.

A funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday by Father Cobb in Grace Episcopal Church. Burial is in Woodlawn Cemetery. Family and friends will assemble at 542 Stuart Circle, Norfolk, at 10 a.m. for the funeral procession. Hale Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
