PAUL J. ROMAN

Paul John Roman, 64, of 733 Milby Dr., died Friday, Sept. 15, 1995, in Norfolk.

He was a native of Hazelton, Pa., and was retired from the U.S. Navy as an air traffic controlman. He was also a retired restaurant owner. He was a member of V.F.W. Post 4809, and Fleet Reserve Association Branch (NU)40.

He is survived by his wife, Jean Roman; one daughter, Gail Hewes of Virginia Beach; two sons, Paul Roman and Phillip Roman, both of Virginia Beach; three step-daughters, Beverly Cherry of Suffolk, Doris Self of Gates County, N.C., and Angela Navarette of Chesapeake; and ten grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Monday in Sturtevant Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Rodney Bell. Burial is in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, today from 7 to 9 p.m. A Fleet Reserve Service will be held at 7:30 p.m.
