Julia Bernard Blassingham, 99, of the 2700 block of Bainbridge Blvd., died Friday, Sept. 15, 1995, in a Chesapeake nursing home.
Miss Blassingham was a native of Old Norfolk County and was the daughter of the late John L. and Virginia Rowland Blassingham. She was the oldest member of Rosemont Christian Church in Chesapeake.
Survivors include her two nieces, Fanny Humphreys of Virginia Beach, and Virginia Stephens of Sanford, N.C.; and her nephew, Norman B. Hodges Jr. of Chesapeake.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 18, 1995, in the chapel of Oman Funeral Home, Great Bridge, by the Rev. W. Roberts McIvor. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery, Norfolk. Memorial donations may be made to Rosemont Christian Church, 3505 Bainbridge Blvd., Chesapeake, Va. 23324.
