Police are asking public help in solving these cases:
PORTSMOUTH
On Thursday, Sept. 7, about 9 a.m., a Brinks money truck made a pickup from the Food Lion store at 3935 Twin Pines Road. When the security officer returned to his truck with the money, two men approached him. One put a handgun to the officer's side and demanded the money bags. After taking the money, the two ran toward Churchland North Apartments and got away.
The gunman was described as black, about 5 feet 10 inches tall, clean-shaven, with a slender build and braids. His companion also was black.
CHESAPEAKE
On Sept. 10 about 10 p.m., David Demarco was robbed and seriously beaten as he delivered a pizza in the 3200 block of American Legion Road. Demarco is in critical condition in a hospital. The Chesapeake Police Department and Pizza Hut need your help solving this case.
VIRGINIA BEACH
Between Friday, Aug. 25, and Sunday, Aug. 27, someone broke into a house in the 5400 block of Beaufain Blvd., in the Charlestown section, while the owners were on vacation. Property stolen included a Nikon camera with lens and flash, a JVC receiver, a Sony portable radio and cassette, a Sony CD radio and cassette, a Pioneer CD player, a Kenwood stereo receiver and cassette player, pocket knives, compact discs, and an extensive collection of basketball cards. Total value of the property stolen: more than $50,000.
HAMPTON
Hampton police are looking for felony suspects.
The first person is Anthony Lee Saunders, 37. He is black, 5 feet 8 inches tall, and 170 pounds. He is wanted on several counts of exposing himself to juveniles. The second person is Michael Eugene Wooden, also known as Jermaine Smith. He is 24, black, 5 feet 10 inches tall, and 150 pounds. Wooden is wanted for burglary and grand larceny.
