HONORS, AWARDS

Teledyne Brown Engineering Hastings Instruments in Hampton was named in Research & Development magazine as one of the top 100 companies for research and technology for 1995. Teledyne developed a sensitive measurement instrument called the Hastings' Model 2000, a solid-state vacuum sensor. The wide-range digital vacuum meter is used to measure pressure as part of the quality testing phase of certain products or devices, from aerospace components to refrigerators.

NAME CHANGES

International Family Entertainment Inc. of Virginia Beach said it has changed the name of its Cable Health Club network to Fit TV. The 24-hour cable-TV network is distributed to 9.5 million homes. It features fitness and health programming.
