Marjorie Marie Wright, 55, of Charles Town, died Sept. 16, 1995, in Jefferson Memorial Hospital, Ranson, W.Va.
Born in Fredericksburg, Va., on Oct. 14, 1939, she was the daughter of Florence (Allison) Wright and Virginious Warren Wright. She was retired as a licensed practical nurse with the Department of Defense, Fort Story, Virginia Beach and was Baptist. She was a graduate of James Monroe High School in Fredericksburg and attended nursing school.
Survivors include two children, Jeffrey T. Ballard of Virginia Beach and Paul W. Ballard of Moyock, N.C.; one sister, Ellen J. Hayden of Fredericksburg; one brother, Richard W. Wright of Richmond; and three grandchildren, Devin Ballard, Kyle Ballard and Hunter Ballard. She was predeceased by a son, Stephen W. Ballard.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Beachlawn Baptist Church, Norfolk Avenue, Virginia Beach, by the Rev. Richard Yates. Burial will be in Princess Anne Memorial Park, Virginia Beach. Friends will be received at Melvin T. Strider Colonial Funeral Home, Charles Town, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today and at Beachlawn Baptist Church on Tuesday from noon until 2 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Beachlawn Baptist Church, Norfolk Avenue, Virginia Beach, Va. 25454.
