PORTSMOUTH - Marvin B. Brown, 83, of Maurice Ave., died Tuesday, Sept. 19, 1995, in Concord, N.C.

He was a native of De Soto, Ga., and was the widower of Zelma K. Brown. He was a retired self-employed barber. He was a member of Pinecrest Baptist Church.

He is survived by three daughters, Lena Mae Bologna of Akron, Ohio, Priscilla B. Holman of Atlanta, Ga., Lucy B. Hill of Concord, N.C.; three sons, Rev. Marvin R. Brown of Chardon, Ohio, Jack L. Brown of Virginia Beach, and C. Jeffery Brown of Atlanta; 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Mr. Brown was preceded in death by a son, Robert S. Brown.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in Pinecrest Baptist Church by the Rev. Tom Potter. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery. The family will be at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, today from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
