Almeater M. Harris, 77, formerly of the 1100 block of Marshall Ave., died Sept. 19, 1995, in South Carolina.
Mrs. Harris, the widow of Clifton Harris, was born in Hamlet, N.C. She was a member of Third Baptist Church.
She is survived by one sister, Jennie E. Bruce of Hamlet.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. The family will receive friends at Fisher Funeral Home from 6 to 7 p.m. today. The family will assemble at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. Friday for the procession to the cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 300 East Henry St., Spartanburg, S.C. 29302.
