Minta Alice White, 68, of Crossville, Tenn., passed away on Sept. 17, 1995.
She was born on May 15, 1927, in Minah, Ariz., daughter of Ansel and Camillia Bliss Jones. Mrs. White was a housewife and of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include two daughters, Maria Dale of Crossville, Tenn., and Beverly Smith of Walton, N.Y.; three sons, Billy Sharp of Norfolk, Gary Sharp of Vicksburg, Miss., and Rodney Sharp of Sunburg, N.C.; one stepson, James White Jr. of Orlando, Fla.; 16 grandchildren; two brothers, Ansel Jones of Memphis, Tenn., Philip Jones of Vicksburg; two sisters, Anna Jo Thomas of Vicksburg, and Ema Mae Marshall of Star City, Ariz.
He was preceded in death by one stepdaughter, Dianne Shannon; one brother, William Jones; three sisters, Dorothy Russ, Ellen Beacham and Catherine Hartley.
A memorial service was held Wednesday, Sept. 20, 1995, at New Hope Baptist Church, Crossville. Rev. Vern Daugherty, Deacon Ralph and Father Michael Roark officiated. Bilbrey Funeral Home, Inc., Crossville, is in charge.
