Sallie Mae Blanchard, 85, of P.O. Box 161, died Sept. 19, 1995, in Evangeline of Gates Nursing Home, Gatesville.
She was a native of Gates County. She was the daughter of Edward and Ida Eure Blanchard. She attended Beulah Baptist Church.
Surviving are two sisters, Doris B. Wiggins of Sunbury, Sybil B. Chappell of Durham; one brother, Emmitt C. Blanchard of Portsmouth; three nieces, Sharon B. Meiggs of Boca Raton, Fla., Peggy B. Arrington of Suffolk, Wynda C. Chesson of Durham; three nephews, Dr. Edward Blanchard of Averill Park, N.Y.; Jimmy Brinkley of Suffolk and Tilson Chappell of Hampton.
Funeral services will be Friday at 4 p.m. at Beulah Baptist Church by the Rev. Ron Parr. Burial will be at Damascus Church Cemetery. Harrell Funeral Home, Gatesville, is in charge of arrangements. The family will be at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Wiggins, Sunbury.
