MINNIE G. MADREY

Minnie Gilmore Madrey, of the 600 block of Partridge Ave., died Sept. 14, 1995.

She was a retired LPN and domestic worker. She was a member of Mount Lebanon Baptist Church, Campostella, Norfolk, former Sunday school teacher, female usher board, fellowship leader, deaconess nurses unit, founder of Minnie Madrey Jr. usher board, I.J. Williams Missionary Society, the St. Thomas Chapter (NU)51 OES of Virginia PHA, past matron 100 Womens Club of Norfolk, Daughter of IBPOE of W, Past Daughter Ruler, and Hampton Roads ILA Retirees charter member.

Survivors include one sister, Gertrude Gilmore Walker of York, Pa.; one brother, Rev. Loxie D. Bradley Sr. of Wilmington, Del.; two nieces, Debra Banner of York, and Mae Randolph of Sunrise Beach, Texas; three goddaughters, Aliceteen Brickhouse, Angelena Roundtree, and Renee McNair, all of Norfolk; and a friend, Jerome Williams.

The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in Mount Lebanon Baptist Church, by Dr. Ronnie Joyner. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake, in charge.
