Betty Jean Carr ``Jeannie'' Jefferson, 54, died Monday, Sept. 18, 1995, in St. Mary's Hospice, Milwaukee, Wisc., after a long illness.
She was a native of Carrsville, Va., and was the daughter of the late Willie O. and Emily Pritchard Carr. A retired legal secretary, she was a member of Colosse Baptist Church.
Mrs. Jefferson is survived by her husband, Roger B. Jefferson of Fredonia, Wisc., a daughter, Theresa Getz and her husband, Martin; and a grandson, Julian D. Getz of Innfield, Conn.; and a brother, Julian Carr of Carrsville. She was predeceased by a brother, Robert L. Carr of Warner Robbins, Ga.
The memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 24, at Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, by the Rev. Donald Trump. The family wil be at the home of Julian Carr, 31344 Community House Drive, Carrsville.
