WILLIAM E. VIRNELSON

William E. Virnelson, 79, of the 5700 block of Craneybrook Lane, died Sept. 19, 1995, in his residence.

Mr. Virnelson, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, retired from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard in 1971 after 33 years of service. He was born in Portsmouth and was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church.

He is survived by his wife, Jean Armistead Virnelson.

A graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday in Oak Grove Cemetery by Father Moss Armistead. Memorial donations may be made to Trinity Episcopal Church, Book of Remembrance. Snellings Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel, in charge.
