Harry Wesley Pierce, 59, died unexpectedly in Greensboro, N.C., on Tuesday, Sept. 19, 1995.
Mr. Pierce was a native of Chester County, Pa., and was a Peninsula resident for the past 26 years. Mr. Pierce was a member of St. Jerome's Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, NASA Langley Bass Masters Association, Richmond Export-Import Club, The Hampton Roads Traffic Club, and was active in the United Way. He was employed as a sales and marketing manager at T. Parker Host Inc. since 1979 and was a retired master sergeant in the U.S. Army.
A funeral Mass will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. today at St. Jerome's Catholic Church by Father Paul T. Gaughn. Interment will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Peninsula Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jerome's Catholic Church, 116 Denbigh Blvd., Newport News, or the Hampton Roads Maritime Association Memorial Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 3487, Norfolk, Va. 23514.
