Frances Denson Phillips Foster, 80, of Holiday Park, died Sept. 8, 1995 at Bon-Secours St. Joseph's Nursing Care Center, Port Charlotte, Fla., after a short illness. She was of Methodist faith.
Frances was born in Sebrell, Va., Sept. 6, 1915, but made her home in Norfolk and Riverside, N.J., for many years. She moved to Florida in 1992. She was the daughter of the late Alette V. and Rose L. Denson.
Survivors include her daughter, Barbara P. White; son-in-law, Monroe White of Holiday Port; brothers, James Denson of Port Charlotte, Richard Denson of Carrolton, Texas; a sister, Myrtie Ashworth of Hopewell, Va.; grandchildren, Lois M. Woolard, and husband, Michael of Germany, Roger L. White and wife Laura of Ft. Meyers, Fla., Joseph M. White of Port Charlotte, Kelly Tunstall Gillerlain, and husband James of Portsmouth, great- grandson, Jeremy S. Woolard of Germany; great-granddaughters, Kelly and Blaire Gillerlain of Virginia Beach; and also a special friend, Joseph Karmade of Holiday Park.
Frances was predeceased by her husbands, Edward Allen Phillips and George W. Foster; daughters, Lois Marie Tunstall of Virginia Beach and Patricia L. Phillips of Norfolk.
Graveside services will be conducted at the Forrest Lawn Cemetery, Norfolk, today, Sept. 22, 1995, at 2 p.m.
