KENNETH BLACK SR.

Kenneth Black Sr., a retired owner of the contracting firm of Kenneth Black Sr. Contracting, died Sept. 21, 1995, in Atlanta.

Mr. Black was a native of New Jersey, and a resident of Norfolk until his retirement in 1964 when he moved to Sebring, Fla. He was the widower of Margaret V. Black, and was preceded in death by his son Edward A. Black.

Mr. Black was a member of the Elks Lodge No. 38 BPOE Norfolk and he was also a member of Corinthian Lodge 266 Chesapeake.

Survivors include a son, Dr. Kenneth Black Jr. and his wife, Mabel F. of Atlanta; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday Sept. 23, 1995 at Forest Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. Charles A. Joy. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts. is handling the arrangements.
