ANNE E. KING

Anne Elise King, 81, died at a hospital in Virginia Beach after falling ill at her residence at Marian Manor.

Mrs. King was born on the Evergreen Plantation owned by her grandfather in Edgard, La. She had nine brothers and sisters. In 1948, she moved to Tidewater and resided in the Pinewell neighborhood for 42 years. She moved to Virginia Beach in 1990. Mrs. King was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Ocean View. Her husband, Welcome C. King, died in 1980.

Survivors include two sons, Gary S. King of Atlanta, Richard J. King of Herndon, Va.; four grandchildren, Courtney Diane King of Norfolk, Lisa C. King, Ryan M. King and Adam M. King, all of Herndon.

A Mass of the Resurrection will be conducted at 7 p.m. Sunday evening Sept. 24, 1995, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church by Father Lou Rouff. A prayer service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday morning at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. H. D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel, is handling arrangements. There will be a visitation Saturday evening in the funeral home at 7:30 p.m.
